SPN 96/FMI 19 - GHG14
Fuel Level Sensor Received Network Data in Error
Fuel level sensor is hardwired to instrument cluster. Fuel level signal is multiplexed from instrument cluster to the CPC

Check as follows:

1. Connect DiagnosticLink® .
2. Check for multiple codes. Are any other fault codes present?
2.1. Yes; if CPC SPN 168/FMI 0/14/18 (battery voltage) or SPN 625/FMI (any) Controller Area Network (CAN) fault codes are present, troubleshoot these first.
2. No; if only SPN 96/FMI 19 fault is present, Go to step 3.
3. Has the CPC been recently reprogrammed?
3.1. Yes; check for proper configuration of the CPC against the server information. Reprogram the CPC with the correct information as necessary.
2. No; refer to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) literature for instrument cluster troubleshooting.
